Since childhood Im a huge fan of Nintendo and games published by Nintendo. I simply
love Endless Ocean, a game in which you dicover hundreds of marine creatures and learn about their life and endangerment.
I always thought that Nintendo with its family philosophy can not produce hardware which are dangerous for nature as well as for humans. I though so
.until now.In Germany there was the delivery day for the Greenpeace News [1/08] and an article about video game consoles just caught my eyes. I could't believe it: In a ranking of 18 producers of eletronics - tested for material, recycling etc. - Nintendo got 0 points, which is the last position. They wrote that the consoles contain PVC and heavy metals, which evaporate and are bad for health in closed rooms. Below the article they added a link for more information about the tests.
